Tonight: Cloudy with snow. Low around 25F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 70%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

That "less than one inch" is turning out to be more than that, on a base of slush/sleet. It's *scary* out there. (Some of this is local to Andover; as of midnight we had 3-4 inches of heavy, wet snow and it was still falling. It was obvious when we were driving home from marmota's house that the plows/sanding services were caught completely off guard by this.)

There's about a half inch or less of slushy white stuff out there. But that's well within 128, south enough away from Andover that you may very well have a lot more snow there. I called a friend in NH, she had like 7 inches and it was snowing like mad at 9 pm.

We got about a 1/4 inch on the ground this morning and it's as solid as ice. It's pretty slippery out there right now. I guess we got mostly rain.

Southern NH near the coast has about 8 cm, fluffy on top, wetter below. I'm going shoveling soon, so I can get it off in time for the sun to work.
